The Northumberland Fare Share Food Banks (NFSFB) Board of Directors is excited to announce the appointment of Rick Riley as its new Executive Director. Rick officially takes on this role starting July 1st.

The Board of Directors conducted an extensive search to replace now retired Executive Director Duncan Mackinnon. “I am delighted that Rick is joining Fare Share as our new Executive Director,” said Vice-Chair Jim Wood, who was on the selection committee. “Rick’s excellent leadership skills and strong ties to the local business community will ensure that Fare Share is well-positioned to continue providing a helping hand to those in our communities who find themselves in need of assistance with feeding themselves and their families.”

Rick has been an entrepreneur in Northumberland County for over 30 years. He is the past President of the Northumberland Central Chamber of Commerce and currently sits on the Cobourg Economic Development Advisory Committee as their Chair. As of July, Rick will be the incoming President-Elect for the Rotary Club of Cobourg. Rick has been actively involved in local sports as a coach, trainer and board member throughout the community.

“I have a passion for community service”, Rick explains, “and I look forward to building on the successes of the board and the volunteers of Northumberland Fare Share Food Banks in order to continue to provide this essential service to those in need.”
