Food bank hosts a volunteer information evening
Drop by the Northside this Sunday, Dec. 19 to help feed our neighbours.
The Fare Share van will be on-hand outside the restaurant between noon and 4 p.m. to collect your non-perishable food donations, in exchange for a steaming cup of hot chocolate, delicious cookies and a raucous good time in the brisk winter weather.
On Friday, Dec. 17, the annual "Christmas in Northumberland" variety show will be held at C.D.C.I. East high school in Cobourg, with proceeds being donated to Fare Share.
This Saturday, Dec. 11, the Port Hope Kinsmen Club will be doing double-duty at the Metro: selling Christmas trees and collecting for Fare Share.
With two vanloads of non-perishables and nearly $3000 in financial contributions collected for Fare Share Saturday afternoon, the Port Hope Police “Cram-A-Cruiser” event at Davis Independent and Metro has officially been declared a great success.
This Saturday, Dec. 4, the Port Hope Police will be doing their part to help provide for those in need in our community.
